2020 Summit

Greetings!

On behalf of the HTG members, we hope you all have been well and safe through this crazy year thus far.  It has definitely been an unusual six months in the healthcare world!  Our HTG work group had to pause our weekly meetings in the early months of March, April, and May, but we have resumed and continue to meet weekly to touch base, share ideas and seek support from each other.

We wanted to reach out to you, our friends and colleagues who have supported HTG by attending our annual summits. We appreciate your continued support in helping us advocate for industry supply chain best practices, and supply chain business improvements.

As you all are aware, we have all been working very hard, in many new and different capacities in this COVID-19 environment.  This situation has highlighted the importance of data quality, visibility to product across the supply chain, and the importance of relationships across the industry.

HTG is continuing to partner with industry work groups. James and Kevin worked with the GS1 U.S. Healthcare CAB members and were able to support the virtual GS1 Connect experience. Support also continues for the AHRMM LUC leaders by participating in their various work groups, presenting at industry conferences as well as serving on various committees across the industry to advance healthcare supply chain.

Healthcare Supply Chain professionals have experienced constant change throughout the years, and this is a definite challenge we’ve all added to our list of experiences, and we will persevere!

On that note, we have decided to defer hosting an in-person HTG Summit event this fall.  We are collaborating on some ideas to potentially host a virtual event, or a series of smaller events.  We welcome your ideas on topics of interest that could help us all advance our work in data standards, data quality, and best practices in managing products across the supply industry. Please submit your ideas below.

Be separate, be safe, be human, and most of all be kind.

Until we meet in-person,

HTG
